Nine Class of 2016 Graduates Named DPI Global Scholars

Class of 2016 graduates Victoria Bond, Mara Bowman, Emma Dill, Sarah Greene, Crystal Knox, Nicole Palama, Lauren Solkowski, Isabel Strazny and Violet York have earned the prestigious Global Education Achievement Certificate (GEAC).  

The requirements for this distinction include the ability to communicate in a language other than English with minimum of 4 years of language study, at least 4 credits in courses with a global focus, complete independent reviews or reflections on at least 8 works of international/cultural media, demonstrate an interest in global citizenship by partaking in at least 4 co-curricular and other school-sponsored activities in grades 9-12 and complete a global/cross-cultural public service project involving at least 20 hours of work.

These nine graduates will leave Lincoln with a strong global competence. They have the capacity and disposition to understand and act on issues of global significance. As globally competent graduates, they are aware, curious, and interested in learning about the world and how it works and are prepared to work in a global society.
