Kaminski Leaves Long Legacy

The greater Manitowoc community and Lincoln High School suffered a major loss with the passing this month of Ronald Kaminski, 75, Lincoln alumnus, lawyer, actor, musician, businessman and all-around Manitowoc civic booster.

The statue of President Abraham Lincoln in front of LHS? Thank Ron and the Class of 1961 which Ron led as class president. The revival and restoration of the Capitol Civic Centre? Wouldn't have happened without Ron's help. The opening of the Little Sandwich Theater and The Sting bar and grill with its Jazz Arts Festival? Credit again to Ron's vision and hard work.

"Ron will be sorely missed," community volunteer Tom Drill told HTR. "No one, in this community that we love, has done as much as Ron did to raise the community up."

A memorial service for Kaminski, who died July 9, was held at July 24 at the Capitol Civic Centre. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.pfefferfuneralhome.com.
